Indian Stock Market News 

1. Nazara Technologies' arm Nodwin Gaming invests $5 million in its subsidiary, Nodwin Gaming International, through the subscription of 26,267 shares. Nodwin now holds a 100% stake in Nodwin Gaming International.


2.Tata Motors surged 3.5 percent on December 29, making it the first Nifty company to see its share price double in 2023, closing out the last trading session on a high. The bullish momentum comes on the back of a robust JLR outlook, a gradual shift to electric vehicles, and demand for SUVs as disposable incomes increase. Since the start of the year, India's leading EV player has gained 102 percent.


3. RBL Bank gained nearly 4 percent on December 29, a day after ICICI Prudential AMC & ICICI Prudential Life get RBI approval to acquire up to acquire stake in RBL Bank. In a December 28 filing post market close, RBL Bank said that the Reserve Bank of India has given its approval to ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, to acquire up to 9.95 percent

4. Railtel Corporation of India jumped over 15 percent on December 29 post securing an order worth Rs 120.45 crore from South Central Railway. Railtel Corporation of India has secured a significant work order worth Rs 120.45 crore from South Central Railway. 


5. Shakti Pumps (India) ended 2 percent higher on December 29 after the company received a fresh order from the Haryana Renewable Energy Department (HAREDA). The total amount of the work order is for around Rs 258 crore (inclusive of GST). 


6. Kalpataru Projects International gained 8 percent on December 29 after the company, along with its joint ventures (JVs) and international subsidiaries, secured orders worth Rs 3,244 crore.

7. Marine Electricals Indian Limited jumped 5 percent on December 29, post securing an order worth Rs 31.85 crore for procurement of six integrated bridge systems (IBS) from Ministry of Defence. Marine Electricals (India) recently landed a significant contract valued at Rs 31.85 crore from the Ministry of Defence.

Indian bank The net non-performing assets ratio  declined to a multi-year low of 0.8 per cent in September 2023, reflecting the strength of the country’s financial sector, according to the RBI’s Financial Stability report.The gross non-performing assets (GNPA) ratio of banks has fallen to a multi-year low of 3.2 per cent


9. GE T&D India surged 5 percent on December 29, following the company's receipt of an order from UK Grid Solutions Limited. The stock also hit a 52- week high of Rs 503.35 on the same day.


IPO arena 


Azad Engineering extended gains on the second day of listing, ending over 2 percent higher on December 29, after sovereign wealth fund Abu Dhabi Investment Authority picked up 3.98 lakh equity shares for Rs 28.65 crore at an average price of Rs 719.9 each.


Innova Captab made a stellar debut on the bourses, ending 21 percent higher on December 29. The IPO price for the share was set at Rs 448. The Rs 570-crore public issue of pharmaceutical company had received good response from investors with a subscription of 55.26 times during December 21-26.
